Prep:  Earned first-team all-conference honors in both of his seasons at Piney Woods School… Averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a senior when he shot 52 percent from the floor, 38 percent from 3-point range (15-39) and 70 percent from the free throw line… Named to the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger pre-season list of seniors to watch in 2008-09 after a junior campaign when he averaged 14.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and connected on 53 percent of his shots, 70 percent from the stripe… He was selected team MVP as senior and top newcomer as junior…

Personal:  Chose Campbell after considering Liberty, Southeast Missouri State and Alcorn State… Has played organized basketball for only three years (including the past two at Piney Woods)… Participated in the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program in Africa before his arrival in the United States.
