Pierre Miller enters his sixth year on staff with Campbell women's basketball. Miller was promoted to associate head coach in August 2021 after spending five seasons as an assistant coach. He assists with all aspects of the program with an emphasis on perimeter players and guards.

During the 2020-21 season, Miller assisted the Camels to a 16-7 record overall and an 11-4 mark in Big South play. Campbell finished second in the Big South regular season standings and were runners-up in the Big South tournament.

Shy Tuelle was named to the All-Big South first team and Taya Bolden received second team honors. The Camels also ranked No. 5 nationally in scoring defense (52.3 ppg), No. 14 in FG% defense (35.0%) and No. 23 in three-point FG% defense (26.8%).

In the 2019-20 season, Miller helped the Camels to a 21-8 campaign including tying a program-record 16 Big South wins en route to a  Big South regular season championship.

The Camels’ regular-season title marked its first since 2001 when the Camels secured the Trans America Athletic Conference regular-season crown. Guards Hayley Barber was selected to the All-Big South second team while Luana Serranho was named All-Big South honorable mention.. The Camels kept its reputation on the defensive end, as CU became just one of just five division one programs to be ranked top-25 nationally in scoring defense in each of the past four seasons.

In the 2018-19 campaign, Miller helped the Camels to the program’s first and second ever postseason victories as a part of tying a program best 23 win total.

Campbell notched its first postseason win in program history in the opening round of the WBI on the road at Coastal Carolina, 58-54. The Camels went on to claim their second win in the tournament back at home with a 70-62 win over Tennessee Tech before advancing to the semifinals.

Miller made an immediate impact in his first season at Campbell in 2016-17, helping the Camels to their eighth 20-win campaign in program history and their first in four years. The eight-win improvement from the 2015-16 season was enough to propel Campbell to a berth in the Big South Tournament and the opportunity to host a first-round game in the Women’s Basketball Invitational.

Miller joined the Camels’ staff after spending three seasons as an assistant coach for the Presbyterian men’s basketball team. He assisted with all elements of the program including recruiting and scouting while also monitoring student-athlete progress rates.

Miller was mentored by PC head coach Gregg Nibert, who is the school’s all-time winningest coach at over 400 victories. Miller helped coach the 2015 Big South Freshman of the Year in a season that the Blue Hose experienced its most league wins in two years. Overall, Miller helped mentor four all-conference selections during his time on the Presbyterian coaching staff.

Miller was a standout guard for the Blue Hose from 2007-2012. He finished his career with close to 1,000 points and over 300 assists. Miller owns numerous records in the PC Division I record book including program-best marks for assists (328) and games played (119). He ranks second with 206 made three-pointers. He is a 2012 Presbyterian graduate with a degree in sociology and an athletic coaching minor.

Miller is married to the former Maurissa Strickland and the couple has three young children: Julia, Noah and Lilah.
