Trevor Ray joined Campbell women's basketball as Director of Scouting and Video Operations in October of 2023. He enters his second season on staff ahead of the 2024-25 season.
"We are excited to welcome Trevor Ray to our women's basketball staff at Campbell University," said head coach Ronny Fisher. "Trevor combines a tremendous work ethic with a passion for serving others to make him a perfect fit for our staff. He brings 6 years of valuable coaching experience from other solid programs as well. Trevor is a first-class person who simply makes everyone around him better and we are thrilled for him to join our program."
Ray joins the Camels after spending three seasons as an assistant coach and recruitment coordinator with the women's basketball program at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. While at John Brown, he led and assisted with recruitment, retention, scouting reports, player development, strength training, meal planning and coordinated recruitment visits. In 2022-23, Ray helped the program to an NAIA National Tournament appearance behind a 21-10 record.
Ray also has stops as a graduate assistant coach with Montreat College men's basketball from 2018-20 and as a volunteer assistant with the University of Montevallo women's basketball program for the 2017-18 season. While with those programs he assisted in recruiting, creating scouting reports and utilizing game film through Synergy Sports Technology.

A graduate of NC State, Ray completed his bachelor's degree in parks, recreation and tourism management in 2016. He also spent time as a member of the scout team for NC State women's basketball. Ray received his master's in management and leadership from Montreat in 2020.
A former student-athlete himself, Ray was a member of the first men's basketball program at William Peace University from 2012-14. He was named to the 2013-14 USA South All-Academic team and was also a dean's list selection.
