Prep/Personal:  Cecilia Van Nitz played in the 2009 North Carolina Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game. She led Bishop McGuinness to the North Carolina Single-A finals in 2007 and a regional championship in 2008. Nitz was named All-State three times, and was a four-time All-Conference and All-Region selection. She led her school to a cross country state championship in 2008 and runner-up finish in 2007. Her track team won the state title in the 4x400 and was second in the 4x 800. She was a four-time All-Conference, All-Region and All-State performer in cross country and track. Nitz played club soccer with the Greensboro Twisters ’90 that captured State Cup championships in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and were finalists in 2007. Her older sisters, Christine (1999-2002) and Mary  (2003-06) were both four-year letter winners at Campbell. Cissy also has two brothers, Gene and Joey, and is the daughter of Tony and Carrie Nitz. She plans to major in Spanish at Campbell.
