Biography

2004: Selected to All-Atlantic Sun second team and A-Sun All-Academic team for third consecutive year….Also named to  the A-Sun All-Tournament team and won the Eric Brodin Award for Academic Excellence…Equaled the CU record for matches played with 21 and started 20 to place in the top 10 all-time at Campbell… Eight goals last season was 8th best total in CU history, combined with her six assists totaled 22 points on the season placing 9th on Campbell’s all-time list… Placed in A-Sun top-10 in several categories: shots/per game (3rd, 4th), points (7th, 8th), goals (T-8th, T-10th) and assists (8th, NA)… Continues to move up the CU career statistics leaderboard, currently stands 5th in goals scored, 3rd in assists and 5th in points… Best match last season came against Elon (9/11) scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory… Also scored the lone goal in a 1-0 regular season win over Gardner-Webb (10/27)… Finished the season with two multi-goal matches Elon (9/11) and Meredith (10/30) as well as two multi-assist matches Florida Atlantic (11/10) and Belmont (10/9)…

2003: Named to Atlantic Sun All-Conference Second-Team and A-Sun All-Academic Team… Paced the Camels with 20 points and 8 assists and finished second on the team with 6 goals … Ranked 4th among A-Sun leaders in assists and assists per game (0.42) … 8th in A-Sun with 1.05 points per game … 10th in total points in A-Sun with 20 … Scored twice in a 6-0 CU win over Belmont (10/9) … Notched a goal and 2 assists at Mercer (10/18) … Ranked second on team with 42 shots … One of six Camels to start all 19 matches …

2002: Earned Second-Team Atlantic Sun honors … Named to the A-Sun All-freshman Team and All-Academic Team … Awarded team MVP … Made an immediate impact leading the team in goals (11), assists (8), and points (30) … Her 30 points stands as the fifth-best single-season total in school history … Her point total is also good for the third best in a  season by a Campbell freshman …Finished sixth in the league in scoring with 1.61 points per-game … Her two-goal, three-assist performance versus Mercer on Oct. 7 ranks as the fifth-highest single-game point total (7) in school history   …  Notched first career point in season opener vs. UNCW (8/30), assisting on Cadian Lawrence’s goal …  Had match-winning goals vs. Mercer (10/7) and at Stetson (10/12) … Scored a pair of goals vs. UCF (9/28) …

Prep/Personal: As a junior, attended the Boso-training camp for Sweden’s elite athletes… Graduated with a degree in International Business from Campbell in 2005… Currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Business Administration at CU… Daughter of Rolf and Birgit Persson, born July 30, 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden.
