Daniel Sharrah joined the Campbell coaching staff in February 2024. The California native comes to Buies Creek after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at North Dakota State.

“I’m really excited about Danny joining my staff,” head coach Greg Goral said. “He specializes in both setting and attacking and has a very strong work ethic. He brings a lot of knowledge and energy to the gym and we as a group are working well together already.”

Sharrah helped NDSU to some of their most successful seasons in recent history. The Bison went 21-12 in 2022, the program’s first 20-win season since 2011 and appeared in the NIVC. They followed up with an 18-11 mark in 2023.

Sharrah worked with six all-Summit League players during his two seasons at NDSU, including the 2022 and 2023 Setter of the Year.

He also worked as a head coach of Volt Volleyball Club based in the Fargo area last fall.

Sharrah played collegiately at Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. The 6’7” right-side hitter set the program’s single-season aces record during his time as a player. He helped his squad with a pair of deep NCAA tournament runs, reaching the DIII semifinals in 2021 and quarterfinals in 2022.

Sharrah graduated from Dominican in May 2022 with a B.S. in neuroscience. He went on to earn his masters at North Dakota State in Physical Education and Sport.
