Nolan Schmidt

Nolan Schmidt joined Campbell Volleyball and Greg Goral’s coaching staff in June 2025. Schmidt comes to The Creek following a two-year stint at Triangle Volleyball Club based in Raleigh. 

“I'm excited for Nolan to join our staff,” head coach Greg Goral said. “He brings a great deal of knowledge as an attacker and a lot of energy to the gym as a mentor. He has a passion for coaching and will be effective in training and development, scouting and recruiting. He rounds out our staff nicely.”

Schmidt has three years of coaching experience at the club level, having previously worked for Gaston Galaxy in Charlotte. Schmidt has also worked at UNC and Mike Schall’s summer program. Campbell will be his collegiate coaching debut. 

Schmidt played for Belmont Abbey College as an attacker, with club playing experience at Triangle, 303 VC (Colo.), FrontRange (Colo.), and VCNebraska. He graduated from Belmont Abbey early with a degree in business management.

Schmidt comes from a volleyball family. His mother is a coach of 20+ years, and his sister, Jasmine, played at Creighton and now coaches as well.
