Swimming Has Nine Earn CCSA All-Academic Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Campbell University swimming team had nine student-athletes selected to the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's All-Academic Team, the league office announced recently.

The conference's all-academic team takes into account all players that earned a 3.0 or better grade-point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participated as a member of the team.

CU's group of nine includes three multi-time recepients in junior Kelly Mullican, senior Kara Gerdeman and sophomore Kristen Chavis. Mullican and Gerdeman were both recognized for the third times in their careers, while Chavis was honored for the second consecutive year. Campbell's group includes six first-time honorees in freshman Emma Eisler, sophomore Cameron Gorse, senior Jackie Kenline, freshman Michelle Key, sophomore Leona Sola and freshman Kaitlyn Tunstall.
