BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Zach Minnick's RBI double in the bottom of the ninth gave Campbell a 2-1 win over visiting Liberty, clinching the Big South series.

The Camels (20-16, 7-4 Big South) clinched the conference series over Liberty (19-17, 5-6 Big South) after defeating the Flames by the same score in Friday night's opener.
Grant Yost (6-2) tossed his third straight complete game, allowing a run on four hits with four strikeouts and a walk.
Shane Quarterley (5-1) took the loss in relief, allowing a run on two hits in 1/3 of an inning. LU starter Evan Mitchell pitched 7 2/3, allowing a run on five Campbell hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
Campbell was held off the board until the eighth inning when Anthony Lopez singled up the middle to score Adam Wyse with two away, knotting the game at one. Wyse reached on a leadoff single, and moved to second on Kyle Prats' sacrifice bunt to give the Camels just their second runner in scoring position on the day.
After Yost's 1-2-3 top of the ninth, Matt Parrish led off the home half with a base hit off the glove of Liberty first baseman Andrew Yacyk. Minnick followed with a 0-1 drive off the wall in right-center, scoring Parrish from first and winning it for the Camels.
Liberty jumped ahead 1-0 in the first on Yacyk's RBI single through the right side, scoring D.J. Artis, who led off the game with a single.
The series win is the first for the Camels over the Flames since 2013, when Campbell picked up the three game sweep in Buies Creek.
The series concludes Sunday with a 2 p.m. first pitch. Sunday will be CU Baseball Alumni Day
Campbell will head to UNCW on April 19 for the first of a season-long six straight games on the road.
