Second-year head coach,
Ronny Fisher, led Campbell to a 21-10 record in his first year, including a second place finish in the Big South with a 13-5 record. With their performances last season, the Camels earned a berth into the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), the program's first postseason appearance since 2000.
CU returns nine from last season, including its top four scorers:

Campbell added six new faces to the squad in Micaila Coleman, Ashlyn Hampton, Tatyana Carver, Kyra Davis, Lauren McNamara-Clement and Julia Crocker.
Campbell in season-openers
Campbell is 4-1 in season-openers in the last five seasons, having defeated St. Andrews last season, 94-39. In the past 10 years, the Camels are 7-3 in season-openers.
Sunday's road opener is the first time the Camels have opened up on the road since the 2010-11 season, when they traveled to then non-conference opponent, Longwood, on Nov. 12, 2010.
Campbell vs. Big XII
Sunday's matchup will be the first between the Camels and Jayhawks, and the first Big 12 opponent in program history.
Kansas notes
Seven newcomers, including three freshman, join the fold for Kansas and third-year head coach, Brandon Schneider. In 2016-17, the Jayhawks finished with an 8-22 record and a 2-16 mark in Big XII play.
The Big XII Newcomer of the Year and KU's leading returning scorer, Jessica Washington, leads the Jayhawks into the upcoming season.
Washington had a team-high 17.1 points per game, with a team-best 35.5 percent clip from beyond the arc. Kylee Kopatich averaged 9.5 points per game, including 15 double-digit outings.
The Jayhawks led the Big XII in steals last season, totaling 285 during the 30-game season, a 9.6 per game mark.
1,000-point watch
Senior guard
Summer Price is nearing the 1,000-point plateau, only needing 83 points to reach that mark. Price tallied 416 points last season, which is 45 percent of her three-year career total.
