Camels add six players to 2026-27 roster

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head Coach Ali Jaques has announced the addition of six incoming players to the 2026-27 roster. The group includes four international players, one high school prospect and one junior college transfer.
 
"I am extremely excited about the six quality players we have been able to add in such a short amount of time," said Jaques. "We have been able to build solid relationships very quickly, and most importantly the strong commitment to academics as well as love for basketball is what made each of these young women great additions to our program.  Our fans will love the up-tempo style of play and skill level these six bring to the Creek."
 
Amit Arieli – Guard/Forward | 5'11 | Freshman | Tsur Moshe, Israel | Maccabi Ramat Gan
A knockdown shooter, Arieli played for the U18 and U19 Israeli National Teams, earning multiple top 10 finishes in different tournaments. She averaged 10 minutes a game in the 2024 Fiba U18 Eurobasket tournament, where the team earned its first-ever top four finish in the tournament's history. She is the daughter of Tsur and Dafna Arieli and has two siblings.
 
Coach Jaques: "Amit is a pure knockdown 3-point shooter. She has played on various international teams and has proven time and time again her ability to shoot. She has great length and will bring maturity and experience to our back court. She comes from a very strong family background, and I am grateful she chose Campbell University as her next stop!"
 
Durusah Bilen – Point Guard | 5'9 | Freshman | Izmir, Turkey | Dacka Serifali
A point guard from Turkey, Bilen comes to Buies Creek after playing for four years for the Dacka Serifali club team. She averaged over two assists per game across each year of her career. The team took fifth place in the U16 national championship her freshman year, third place in the U18 National Championship as a sophomore in addition to first place in the Schools National Championship and fifth place in the ISF World Championship.
 
Bilen is the daughter of Erhan and Semra, and she has one sibling.
 
Coach Jaques: "Durusah is a pure point guard who loves to push the tempo and play in attack mode at all times. She is an extremely hard worker, has a high basketball IQ, and strong desire to make an immediate impact. I have been impressed with her leadership ability. D has the ability to score on all levels, and our fans will enjoy the energy and spark she will bring to the court."
 
Clara Comas – Guard/Forward | 5'11 | Freshman | Ciutadella de Menorca, Spain | CB Andratx
A big presence on the wing, Comas averaged 19 points in 28 minutes during her final year with CB Andratx of the Spanish Basketball Federation and was named a league all-star and to the all-starting five. Her team, coached by Juanjo Beltrán, won the Balear Championship in 2025-26 and won the Junior Balear Championship in 23-24 and 24-25.
 
Full name is Clara Comas Casanovas. She is the daughter of Daniel Comas and Maria Casanovas, and she has one sibling. Her dad and uncle, Pedro, both played basketball professionally. She plans to puruse a management BBA at Campbell.
 
Coach Jaques: "Clara Comas will add some flair to our backcourt. She is an athletic wing that can shoot the 3 and attack the basket creatively. Her length and athleticism are a welcome addition to the program. Our fans will enjoy the confidence and swagger she will bring to the court."
 
Kiaya Davis – Guard | 5'9 | Junior | Little Rock, Ark. | Connors State College
Davis spent the past two seasons at Connors State College. As a freshman, she led NJCAA Division I with 22.4 points per game and was a NJCAA All-America Honorable Mention. She was the OCAC Freshman of the Year and was a member of the all-conference first team. As a sophomore, she averaged 14.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. She recorded a season-high 33 points against Pratt CC.
 
Davis graduated from Little Rock Central HS in 2024, winning the 6A State Championship in her senior season. She was named to the all-state team and received the all-conference academic award. She played club ball with the All Arkansas Res and coach Reggie McGee. She is the daughter of Mildred Scott and plans to study Criminal Justice at Campbell.
 
Coach Jaques: "KD is a combo guard who has proven in her 2 years at Connors State to be a lethal scorer. She can score on all levels, and more than anything else, this young lady loves the game of basketball. Her competitive nature, grit, and determination are impressive, and I can't wait to get on the court with her."
 
Laura Martín – Guard | 5'9 | Freshman | Cáceres, Spain | Colegio San Antonio de Padua
Another combo guard, Martín is the second player from Spain to join this class. She averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds per contest with her club team, CB Alqazeres. She was named the MVP of the tournament and final in the Copa Colegial this past year, and when she was 16 she was named to the Selección Española U17 3x3 team.
 
Her full name is Laura Martín Rodríguez, and she is the daughter of Javier Martín Iglesias and Esther Rodríguez Vicente. She has four siblings and intends to study kinesiology.
 
Coach Jaques: "We are so grateful to add Laura to our backcourt. She has the ability to play multiple positions and will make a great addition to our locker room. She is eager to make an impact and grow her game."
 
Genesis Schneeberg – Forward | 5'10 | Freshman | Lorton, Va. | Sidwell Friends School
Schneeberg averaged 14 points and 7.5 rebounds during her senior year at Sidwell Friends School when she was named all-conference, first team all-state and all-metro fourth team. The Quakers were state champions in 23-24 and 24-25. She averaged 9.8 points and seven rebounds on way to all-conference, first team all-state and all-metro honorable mention during her junior season. Schneeberg played on the AAU circuit for Team Durant and coach Tamika Dudley, who also coached her for her first three years of high school.
 
Born in Boston, Mass., Schneeberg is the daughter of Eugene and Deitra. She has three siblings and plans to study engineering at CU.
 
Coach Jaques: "We are so excited to welcome Genesis to the Campbell family. She is an outstanding student and comes from strong winning programs in the DMV area. She is a low-post and mid-post operator that loves contact and plays a powerful game. Her commitment to her studies and impacting her local and larger communities with her interest in Civil Engineering is a perfect fit for Campbell University. Sidwell Friends and her national EYBL program Team Durant have prepared her to compete in the CAA. We are grateful she and her family have joined our program."
