Getting To Know Amon Kemboi

Amon Kemboi, a freshman from Kapsabet, Kenya, has had a stellar year for the Campbell cross country team in 2017, qualifying for the national meet in his first season with the team. Kemboi earned Big South Runner of the Year honors after capturing the individual title at the 2017 conference championship on Oct. 28. On the track, Kemboi owns the school record in the outdoor 5000m with a time of 13:47.77, which he ran at the Mt. Sac Relays on April 14, 2017. Kemboi is majoring in Mathematics at Campbell.
