RENO, NEV. – Six Camels placed and Campbell placed sixth overall Sunday at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
No. 13 
Jere Heino finished runner-up at heavyweight, while 
Quentin Perez placed third at 165 pounds. 
Nathan Boston took fourth at 133, while at 174, 
Andrew Morgan placed fifth. Competing unattached, 
Josh Heil placed fourth at 149, and 
Zach Barnes took fifth at 141.
The unattached pair combined for an 18
th place finish in the 57 squad team standings.
After an opening round bye, Heino topped Seville Hayes of Cal Poly, 9-2. He followed with another decision, defeating Wyoming's Hunter Mullins 8-1, and Oklahoma State's Blake Andrews (unattached) 5-2. Heino's 13-6 victory over Utah Valley's Tate Orndorff (unattached), placed the Campbell heavyweight in the finals, where he fell to No. 6 Amar Dhesi of Oregon State, 5-3.
At 165, Perez topped Andrew Bartel of MSU-Northern by major decision, 15-5, after an opening round bye. Perez then notched a tech fall (5:00) over Clackamas' Colby Winnett (unattached), and topped Jared Hill of Stanford 10-7. He took his only loss of the tournament to No. 14 Branson Ashowrth of Wyoming, 8-1, but rebounded with a 2-0 victory in the third place match over Tyler Mclean of Simon Fraser.
Boston started the day at 133 with a 4-0 decision over Devan Turner of Oregon State. The redshirt junior followed with a 16-1 (3:00) tech fall over Cal State Bakersfield's Noah Blakley-Beans (unattached), and advanced to the 133 semifinals with a fall (3:38) over Paul Garcia of CSU-Pueblo. Tariq Wilson of N.C. State edged the Versailles, Ky. native 2-0 before Jamel Morris, also of N.C. State, defeated Boston 4-2 in the third place match.
Morgan posted wins in his first two bouts of the day, defeating Conner Small of Arizona State 4-0 and Chris Nile of MSU-Northern 11-4. N.C. State's Daniel Bullard handed Morgan his only loss of the day with a fall (4:56). Morgan responded with back to back pins of his own, topping Arizona State's Austin Clayton (unattached) (4:51), and Bruno Nicoletti of Colorado Mesa (5:22) to take fifth in the weight class.
Wrestling unattached, Heil began the day with a fall (3:26) over John Daniel of Colorado Mesa. The sophomore followed with an 18-6 major decision over Missouri's Lane Stigall (unattached). Heil pinned Ty Buckiso of The Citadel (4:42), sending the Brunswick, Ohio native to the 149 semifinals. Heil was edged 3-2 by No. 17 Beau Donahue of N.C. State, then fell to Oklahoma State's No. 7 Boo Lewallen (unattached) 12-8 in the third place match.
Also competing unattached, Barnes collected wins in his first two contests of the day after an opening round bye. Barnes defeated Clay Archer of CSU-Pueblo 12-7 and Andrew Ramirez of Southern Oregon 7-2 before falling to No. 3 Bryce Meredith of Wyoming by fall (1:48). He advanced over Arizona State's Navonte Demison (unattached) no contest, then claimed a 16-4 major decision over Utah Valley's Matt Findlay (unattached).
N.C. State claimed the overall team title, followed by Wyoming, Missouri, Oregon State and Oklahoma State (unattached). North Dakota State, Utah Valley (unattached), Cal Poly, Fresno State and Stanford followed Campbell.
