Wrestling Tabbed Sixth in SoCon Preseason Poll

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Southern Conference announced its 2025-26 wrestling preseason poll Thursday afternoon, with Campbell picked sixth in a vote of the league's head coaches.

Four programs received first-place votes. Chattanooga was selected to win the conference with 58 points and three first-place votes, followed by The Citadel with 56 points and Appalachian State with 53.

The Camels enter their first season under head coach TJ Dudley, a three-time All-American and promoted Campbell assistant. Dudley takes over a program that finished 7-1 in SoCon duals last season, earning victories over Gardner-Webb, Chattanooga, Davidson, Bellarmine, Presbyterian, VMI and Appalachian State.

Campbell opens the 2025-26 campaign Nov. 2 at the Southeast Open, hosted by Virginia Tech. The event will stream live on FloWrestling, with brackets and live results available online.

The Camels' 2025-26 roster features 12 newcomers as they aim to build on last season's success under new leadership.
