Chris Clemons scored 23 points,
Cory Gensler added 14, plus nine rebounds, and Campbell defeated Charleston Southern 62-47 Thursday night at Gore Arena.
The Camels (10-9, 4-3 Big South) won for the fourth time in five outings after limiting Charleston Southern (6-12, 1-6) to just 31 percent shooting.
Damontez Oliver came off the bench to score eight points for the Camels, while
Andrew Eudy added seven, plus a game-high 11 rebounds.
Christian Keeling scored 12 points and Deontaye Buskey 11 for the Buccaneers, who dropped their sixth in a row.
Campbell used an 11-1 burst to take a double-digit lead and stretched the margin to 35-15 at the break. Clemons had 16 first-half points and Gensler 10, while Charleston Southern shot just 21 percent from the floor before the break.
CU's 20-point advantage was its largest half-time lead this season against an NCAA Division I opponent.
Charleston Southern cut the gap to 39-25 on Buskey's three with 13:19 to play, but the Camels answered and stretched the margin to as many as 25 down the stretch.
The nation's fourth-leading scorer (24.4), Clemons hit double digits for the 67th-straight game, the longest streak in NCAA Division I. His 23-point outing was the 49th of his career of 20 or more points, and broke the school record of 48 previously held by Jonathan Rodriguez (2006-10).
Campbell shot 44 percent (19-43) from the floor, hit 6-of-19 threes (.316), made 18-of-20 (.900) from the line and finished with a 39-31 edge on the boards.
Charleston Southern made 17-of-55 shots (.309), 4-of-15 threes (.267) and 9-of-17 from the stripe (.529).
Campbell improved to 8-3 at home this season and has won seven of its last eight at Gore Arena. The lone setback was an 82-80 loss in OT to Gardner-Webb. Charleston Southern dropped to 2-8 in road games and has lost its last six away from home.
The Camels conclude their two-date home stand Sunday with a 2:00 p.m. start against Big South leader Radford.
