BUIES CREEK, N.C. – With the start of basketball season only one week away, the Fighting Camels are not only excited to welcome long-time regional rivals UNC Wilmington and Coastal Carolina to Buies Creek this year, but to also assist with ongoing recovery efforts in those areas from the effects of Hurricane Florence.
UNC Wilmington visits Gore Arena in the season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 6 for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff that follows the women's basketball opener vs. Old Dominion at 5:00 p.m.
Coastal Carolina returns to Buies Creek after a two-season absence on Friday, Nov. 9 in a 7:30 p.m. start that comes after Campbell hosts Presbyterian in a 5:00 p.m. volleyball match.
Tickets are $15 for reserved seats. The Campbell Athletics Department is donating 20 percent of each individual game ticket sold to hurricane relief efforts for each game. The money raised will be sent to UNCW and Coastal Carolina for those institutions to determine how it will best be used for relief and recovery efforts in the Wilmington and Conway communities.
Campbell has partnered with Pepsi to produce special "Camel Strong" tee shirts that will be available in exchange for a donation to the relief effort at both games.
Season tickets are available for the 2018-19 Campbell men's basketball campaign and are just $150 for all men's and women's home games or just $120 for the men's home dates. Call 910-893-1459, email
