BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell travels to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to face ACC foe Boston College on Friday night at 7 p.m. inside the Silvio O. Conte Forum.
The Camels (7-2) are a perfect 3-0 on the road this season, picking up wins over Western Carolina, Norfolk State and FIU. CU had its seven-game winning streak snapped last week by way of an overtime loss to MEAC member Howard, 69-64.
Kyra Davis and Lauren Carter lead Campbell in scoring, averaging 9.7 points per game and 8.6 points per game, respectively. Taya Bolden tops the Camels in rebounding, averaging 8.0 rebounds per game.

Trailing by 10 (54-44) with 3:35 remaining, the Camels closed out the second half on a 15-5 run to send the game into overtime - freshman Shy Tuelle hit a left-corner three as time expired to tie the score at 59-59. The Bison outscored the Camels 10-5 in overtime to snap CU's seven-game winning streak.
Kyra Davis was the lone Camel to score in double-figures, tallying 12 points. The sophomore also pulled down 10 boards for her first career double-double.
Half a dozen Camels scored at least six points in the contest: Davis (12), Taya Bolden (9), Shy Tuelle (9), Hayley Barber (8), Caroline Bowns (6) and Luana Serranho (6). Ashlyn Hampton had seven rebounds.
The game featured a special 11:30 a.m. tip-off as part of Campbell's ninth annual Education Day.
Elite Defense
CU leads the Big South and is tied for 26th nationally in scoring defense, holding opponents to 54.9 ppg. The 2017-18 squad allowed 51.9 ppg, which ranked third in all of NCAA Division I. In 2016-17, CU claimed the program's first-ever NCAA statistical championship by holding opponents to a Division I-low 49.6 ppg.
Marginal Rebounding
The Camels currently top the Big South and sit 75th nationally with a rebound margin of +5.9 (60.9 to 53.1).
Camels vs. Non-Conference Opponents
The Fighting Camels have fared well against non-conference opponents during the Ronny Fisher Era, racking up a 21-8 mark. Campbell is 11-4 against non-conference opponents at home during the regular season since 2016-17. Since the 2016-17 season, Campbell is 5-0 against non-Division I opponents.
Boston College Notes
Led by first-year head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee, Boston College (9-2) will play its sixth consecutive home game on Friday. The Eagles are 3-2 over that stretch, falling to Providence, 61-57, and then-No. 14 Minnesota, 77-69.
Freshman Marnelle Garraud leads BC in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game, while junior Emma Guy owns a team-high 7.7 rebounds-per-game average.
Series Notes
The Camels and Eagles last met on Dec. 29, 1988 as part of the South Florida Christmas Tournament in Tampa, Fla. BC came away with a 69-44 win in the only meeting between the two teams.
