BUIES CREEK, NC - Campbell returns home Wednesday, February 14 to take on Coastal Carolina at 2:00 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for February 7 but was moved due to inclement weather.
Campbell (1-5) enters Monday's match after dropping two matches over the weekend. CU fell to Appalachian State 6-1 in the first game of a double header that also featured a matchup with NC State.
Georgina Segarra claimed the Camels sole singles point with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 tie breaking set win to claim the point for the Camels on court five in the second to last finish of the match.
The Camels fell to the Wolfpack 7-0 in the second match of the day. After not finishing either doubles match on the day, doubles pair
Alexandra Andrivot and
Isabel Boada remain undefeated on the season with a 2-0 record.
Coastal Carolina (2-2) is coming off two matches over the past weekend as well. The Chants spilt the two matches by defeating Emory 6-1 on Sunday after dropping a 6-1 decision to Georgia State on Saturday.
Iryna Verdanian sports a team best 3-1 record in singles action while doubles pair Alexa Tiefel and Verdanian have joined for a 2-0 record on the doubles side.
The two teams have yet to face a common opponent in the spring season but the Chants will face common opponents ECU, College of Charleston, USC Upstate and Charlotte later in the season.
Campbell faced multiple Coastal Carolina players in the fall season including action at the Coastal Carolina Battle at the Beach on Nov. 3-4.
After Wednesday's match, the Camels travel to USC Upstate on Saturday to take the Spartans in a 2:00 p.m. start time.
