WILMINGTON, N.C. – Campbell wrapped up competition in the Wendy's Seahawk Invitational Saturday, hosted by UNC Wilmington at the Harold Greene Track & Field Complex.
On the second and final day at UNCW,
Roshae Jackson placed eighth in the women's 400 meters with a time of 59.90, followed by teammate
Shanley Koekemoer in ninth with her 1:02.07 mark.
In the women's mile,
Michaela Louw and
Madeline Fitch went three-four, posting times of 5:11.77 and a personal-best 5:12.02, respectively, while
Lize Botha made it three Camels in the top-10 with her 5:31.90, good for 10th.
On the men's side,
Andrew Ward finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 43.98 meters. Ward also took eighth in the shot put, checking in with an 11.39 meter toss.
Travis Gallimore placed 11th in the mile with a time of 4:44.96, followed by
Billy Knabe with a 4:45.36 mark, and in the long jump,
Brett Parks finished 13th, notching a 6.06 meter leap, a personal record.
