Gaskin's season finishes at NCAA Regional

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Ticora Gaskin jumped a 5.83m at the NCAA East Regional. Her mark was good for 36th place, but failed to qualify for NCAA nationals, as only the top 12 advance.

Gaskin jumped in the first of four flights and finished sixth out of the 11 jumpers in her flight. Gaskin owns a PR of 6.13m, and would have needed to hit that mark again Thursday to advance in the postseason.

The Columbia, S.C. native was the first Campbell woman to reach the NCAA East Regional in the long jump since Destiny Bailey-Perkins in 2023.

Mekhi Dupree is now Campbell's final postseason competitor, awaiting the men's 200m quarterfinals Friday at 7:50 p.m.
