BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- The Fighting Camels will welcome the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs to Buies Creek this weekend for CU's first home Big South series of the season. The three-game set is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, March 23-25 at Jim Perry Stadium.
The series opener will begin Friday at 6 p.m., while Saturday's game will start at 3 p.m. Sunday's series finale is slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch.

Campbell (10-11, 3-0 BSC) enters the weekend on top of the Big South standings after sweeping Charleston Southern to open conference play. The Camels outscored the Bucs 28-10 over the three-game set last week, including a six-home run effort on Saturday, March 17 en route to an 18-2 victory.
CU most recently fell to No. 14 Duke in a midweek home matchup, 4-0. The Camels were held to four hits and shut out for just the second time this season.

Logan Bender was named the Big South Freshman of the Week following his performances against Rider and Charleston Southern. The redshirt-freshman righty made three appearances for the Camels last week, tossing 4.2 scoreless frames of relief with one hit, one walk and eight strikeouts.
Christian Jones continues to lead the Camels offensively, posting Campbell's top marks in batting average (.329), hits (25), home runs (5), RBI (20), total bases (44) and slugging percentage (.579).
Campbell's pitching staff boasts a conference-best 4.19 team ERA.
Allan Winans (1.73) and
Michael Horrell (2.13) sit first and second on the Big South's ERA leaderboard (min. 1.0 IP per team game).
Gardner-Webb (13-10, 1-2 BSC) most recently split a home-and-home midweek series with Wofford. The Runnin' Bulldogs fell twice to Liberty in the opening weekend of conference play and currently sit sixth in the Big South standings.
GWU brings one of the conference's top offenses to Buies Creek. As a team, the Runnin' Bulldogs lead the Big South in batting average (.281), doubles (39), hits (211), home runs (21), runs scored (148) and slugging percentage (.432).
Junior infielder Chandler Redmond tops the conference with eight homers, 27 RBI and a .679 slugging percentage on the season for Gardner-Webb.
The Fighting Camels and Runnin' Bulldogs are knotted up in the all-time series, 15-15. Last season, Campbell took two of three from Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C. to open the Big South slate.
Following the series, Campbell will wrap up a five-game home stand as the UNCW Seahawks come to town. The midweek matchup is set for Tuesday, March 27 at Jim Perry Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
