Men's Soccer adds nine recruits

three D1 transfers among the group

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head coach Dustin Fonder has announced the signing of nine men's soccer student-athletes to the Campbell University roster.  The recruiting class includes three transfers from Division I institutions and six who will make their collegiate debut.

Peter Gilder (Southern Pines, N.C.), Jalen James (Grand Prairie, Texas), Matt Karasinski (Parker, Texas), Samuel Lechuga (Mexico City, Mexico), Adrian Morales (Midland, Texas), Aigbekan Nosegbe (Smyrna, Ga.), Gage Richard (Miami, Fla.), Braden Teller (Wake Forest, N.C.) and Vito Vincent (King of Prussia, Pa.) will join the squad for pre-season workouts in August.

"We are very pleased to welcome the 2018 recruiting class to the Campbell Men's Soccer family," said Fonder, who is entering his fourth year in charge of the program.  "This class aligns well with our philosophy of recruiting high character people, diligent students, and talented team-first players. This strong class combined with a hungry core of returning players position us well to compete for hardware this fall. Our staff is eagerly awaiting our August start date!"

The nine will join 13 returning players from last season's Campbell squad that finished 9-7-3 overall and in third place (5-2-1) in the Big South Conference standings.  Among the top returnees are All-South region forward JJ Donnelly and Big South freshman of the year Alemu Mercer-Miko.
