Campbell announces 2026 men’s soccer schedule

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell men's soccer has announced its schedule for the 2026 season, which features 18 matches overall and nine home contests.

All home matches will be played at Eakes Athletics Complex on the campus of Campbell University and will be free admission to all attendees. Broadcast plans for both home and away matches will be announced at a later date.

The Fighting Camels will open play with two preseason exhibitions, the first of which is a road contest at UNCG on August 8. Campbell will then host NC State in Buies Creek on Aug. 15 for the final tune-up before the regular season begins.

The 2026 season will be Head Coach Dustin Fonder's 12th season in charge. He has recorded 106 wins in Buies Creek with a .600 winning percentage. Lucas Champenois and Omar Asad remain as the other two coaches on staff.

CU begins the regular season with a pair of neutral-site contests played in Durham. The Camels will face Cal Baptist on Opening Day (Aug. 20) followed by a matchup against Seton Hall (Aug. 23).

CAA play begins with a road contest against Charleston on Aug. 28. This is the second year the conference features divisional scheduling. Campbell plays each of the other four teams in the division (Charleston, Elon, UNCW, William & Mary) twice, home and away.

September begins with a pair of home matches for the Camels against Longwood (Sept. 1) and Wofford on the fifth. That is followed with a matchup on the road against Coastal Carolina on Sept. 8.

Campbell is back home on Sept. 12 to host Elon in a rematch of last year's CAA Championship semifinals.

A road trip to Davidson on Sept. 15 precedes a pair of home contests against UNCW (Sept. 19) and Winthrop (Sept. 22). This will be the 61st playing of the Cape Fear River Derby against UNCW. Campbell defeated the Seahawks 4-0 in the first round of last year's CAA Championship.

The Camels next have three consecutive CAA matches – away against William & Mary (Sept. 26), home against Charleston (October 3) and away against UNCW (Oct. 10).

The Camels then host Radford on Oct. 14, Gardner-Webb on Oct. 20 and William & Mary on the 24th to close out the home slate.

The regular season concludes with a road contest at VCU (Oct. 27) and the finale on October 31 at Elon.

The dates for the CAA Championship will be announced later. The top three teams from each division qualify for the tournament, with the No. 1 seeds in each division earning a first-round bye.
