Box Score 2 RICHMOND, VA - Dustin Werner did not lose singles matchup on the day as Campbell went 1-1 on the opening day of the VCU Invite.
Campbell topped Drexel 6-0 to start the afternoon before falling 4-1 to VCU to round out the action.
Werner won both of his singles matchups and claimed one of two on the doubles side alongside partner

Campbell swept doubles action to claim the opening point.
Gerard Sola and
Louis Monterosso claimed the first matchup to finish with a 6-4 decision over Alvaro Cruz Chamorro and Juan Manuel Sanchez.
Dustin Werner and
Raphael Calzi clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 (5) tie breaking win over Sinan Orhon and Djordje Janackovic.
Bastien Huon and
Ondrej Labik rounded out the sweep with a 7-6 (4) tie breaker victory over Sanil Jagtiani/Xandy Hammitt.
Senior,
Gerard Sola's singles win clinched the match for the Camels. Sola claimed the comeback win over Xandy Hammitt by claiming the final two sets 6-1, 10-3 after dropping the opening set 5-7.
Dustin Werner opened singles play with a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Alvaro Cruz Chamorro.

Bastien Huon all claimed singles win to complete the 6-0 sweep.
Campbell vs VCU
Campbell dropped the doubles after being swept in pair play. The Camels then dropped the first two singles matchups to go down 3-0 before Werner claimed a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 1. Campbell could not rally the come back and dropped the next matchup to fall 4-1.
