Campbell takes on Coastal Carolina Saturday

BUIES CREEK, N.C.-The Women's team continue their spring season as they travel to Conway, South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina. This match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 26. The first serve is set for 1:00 p.m.

This match against Coastal Carolina will serve as a chance for Campbell to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to Drexel and a 7-0 shutout from VCU this past weekend. These matches that took place in Richmond, Va. were the team's first two matches of the 2019 season.

Setting up Coastal Carolina:
Coastal Carolina's match against the Camels will be the first match of their 2019 season. The Chanticleers are coming off of a 16-7 overall record for their 2018 season. They posted a seven-match winning streak and five shutouts for the 2017-2018 season. Coastal received the third seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a first-round bye and placing in the quarterfinals. They later fell to No. 6 ULM in a 4-2 decision in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship. For the 2017-2018 tennis season, the Chants earned a ninth place standing in the Carolina Region. This standing is the women's team's first postseason ranking since their 2014-2015 season.

Next Match: The Camels will continue their season as they travel to Raleigh, N.C. to play NC State on February 1. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
