Camels fall at Presbyterian, 3-1

CLINTON, S.C. Campbell University volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision to Presbyterian on Saturday afternoon inside the Templeton Center.

The loss dropped Campbell to 11-9 overall and 5-2 in Big South play, while the Blue Hose improved to 11-10 on the season and 5-2 in the league.

Sarah Colla led the CU offense with 16 kills, her 17th match this season with double-digit kills. Allena Heath recorded seven kills while both Hailey Wilson and Lailah Green added six kills.

Madee Miner paired 19 assists with 11 digs for her team-high fifth double-double of the year. Emily Mitter dished out 16 assists.

Elyse Gross reached 15 digs and Heath added 10 digs.

For just the fifth time all season, the Camels were held to a hitting percentage below .100 as they combined to hit .098; Presbyterian hit .237 as a team.

Campbell returns to Buies Creek to begin a five-match homestand, which starts with a Friday, Oct. 26 match against Hampton. The match between the Fighting Camels and Pirates is set for a 2 p.m. first serve inside Gore Arena.
