BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Riding three-straight wins, Campbell travels to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest who it last beat in 1997.
Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m. and will serve as the third Education Day game of the season for the Camels.Â
CU last topped Wake Forest in on December 20, 1997 67-62.
Campbell is led by its lone double-digit scorer in Shy Tuelle followed by Luana Serranho (9.7) and Hayley Barber (9.6) while a trio of double digit scorers in Ivana Raca (15.0), Alex Sharp (11.8) and Gina Conti (11.3) lead the way for Wake.Â
Most recently, Shy Tuelle and Taya Bolden both scored 13 points to lead Campbell past Bluefield in front of a crowd of 2,762 on Education Day.
The Camels, who never trailed, took a 34-20 lead into the halftime break before the two teams both scored 16 each in the third period. Campbell pulled away, however, in the closing period where it outscored the Rams 15-5.
Tuelle knocked down 3-of-7 threes as a part of 5-of-10 shooting while Bolden went 3-of-5 from the floor to pair with five rebounds.
The Camels forced 19 turnovers which resulted in 26 points to pair with a 29-16 points in the paint edge.
The 2,762 attendance mark now ranks sixth in program history and helped the Camels remain undefeated at home this season.
Campbell (5-2) lead by 14 heading into the final period but used its final burst to push its lead up to as many as 26 at 3:48 when Svenia Nürenberg knocked down a pair from the charity stripe.
Wake Forest is coming off a 67-60 loss at East Tennessee State. The Deacons also dropped 67-65 decision earlier this season to UNCG who Campbell topped 72-64 on December 3.
