WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Ivana Raca and Alex Sharp both scored 19 points to lead Wake Forest past Campbell 74-46 Monday inside Joel Coliseum.
Campbell scored 22 first quarter points and took a one point lead into the second period but Wake (5-4) held the Camels to just 24 points over the remainder of the contest.
Kianna Speight led the way for the Camels with 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting including a 3-of-7 effort from deep followed by
Shy Tuelle who scored all eight of her points in the first half.
Wake was able to force 16 turnovers and turned it into 27 points to pair with 32 second chance points on 45 rebounds.
The Deacs made more free throws (13-of-17) than the Camels attempted (3-of-7).
On the offensive attack the Deacons shot 28-of-57 (.490) including 5-of-10 (.500) compared to the Camels 18-of-63 (.280) effort from the field and 7-of-25 (.280) from three.
CU carried the lead into the second period but a 9-0 run to start the period jump started the offensive efficiency for Wake who led for just over 35 minutes of action.
Raca posted her 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting and a 5-of-6 performance at the charity stripe while Sharp finished 8-of-12 and 2-of-4 from downtown.
Alexandria Scruggs rounded out the three double-digit scorers for Wake with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting and a 2-of-2 effort from deep.
Campbell closes out non-conference play with a trip to Hofstra on Saturday with tip-off set for 1:00 p.m.
