BUIES CREEK, N.C. — After scoring 29 points across Campbell's two games last week, Lauren Carter has been named the Big South's Freshman of the Week, the third league merit for the Fighting Camels in as many weeks.

Carter tied a career-high with 16 points at Radford before scoring a team-high 13 points in Campbell's 52-51 win over Charleston Southern. She has reached double-figures 10 times this season, including in each of Campbell's last four games.

The High Point, N.C. native averages 9.9 points per league game, which ranks fifth among all Big South freshmen and 29th overall.

Carter also pulled down six boards against Charleston Southern and five at Radford. She averages 5.7 rebounds per conference game, which ranks her second among Big South freshmen and 20th overall.

Carter and the Camels own an 8-7 conference record, 16-10 overall, and are in a two-way tie for fifth in the Big South standings. Up next, CU will travel to Winthrop on Saturday, Mar. 2 for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
