BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Set to make its second postseason appearance in three years, Campbell heads to Coastal Carolina on Thursday for the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside the HTC Center in Conway, S.C.

Campbell is 21-12 on the season, coming off a trip to the Big South Championship game, its first conference title game since 2001. The Camels' 20-win season is their second in three years, and ninth since 1985-86.
The Camels are one of two Big South squads in the tourney, joined by UNC Asheville, which will take on Appalachian State on Wednesday.
This is Campbell's second trip to the WBI, also participating in 2017 when the Camels hosted Saint Francis, falling 79-68.
Coastal enters the WBI coming off a 17-14 season that included an eighth place finish in the Sun Belt Conference. Coastal Carolina is one of three Sun Belt members in the WBI field, including Georgia State and Appalachian State.
The Camels, seeded sixth in the tourney, made the run to Big South title game starting with a 54-49 first round win over No. 7 seed Longwood in Buies Creek.
CU then moved on to High Point, N.C., topping No. 3 seed Hampton 85-63, leading by as many as 32 in the win, shooting 53 percent from the floor (31-for-58) and 57 percent (13-for-23) from distance, landing five in double figures, including 21 from freshman guard
Shy Tuelle and 20 from senior guard
Caroline Bowns.
A day later, Campbell met No. 7 seed Charleston Southern, with Bowns leading the way with 25 points in a 55-44 victory. Bowns hit 7-of-9 shots, including 6-of-8 from distance, adding a 5-for-5 effort from the free throw line. The senior added eight rebounds, two blocks, a steal and an assist.
At Radford in the championship game, the Highlanders held off the visiting Camels 57-45 for their 18th-straight win.
Hayley Barber and
Caroline Bowns were both named to the Big South All-Tournament Team.

Lauren Carter leads the Camels at 8.9 points per game, adding 4.5 rebounds, while
Shy Tuelle, another Big South All-Freshman Team member, owns 8.8 points per outing. Barber, who added honorable mention All-Big South accolades, also collects 8.4 points and 2.8 assists per game for CU, while
Taya Bolden averages 7.8 points with a team-high 8.6 rebounds.
The Camels boast of the nation's top defenses, holding opponents to 55.8 points per game (ranking 16
th in the NCAA), with a 35.6 percent field goal defense (17
th nationally) and a 27.1 percent three point field goal defense (14
th nationally).
The Camels have held opponents below the 50-point line 12 times this season.
The Chanticleers are paced by DJ Williams' 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, while Caitlin Roshe collects 13.6 points per outing, knocking down a team-high 226 three pointers this season. Naheria Hamilton also posts 10.1 points to go along with a team-best 8.1 rebounds per game for CCU.
Campbell and Coastal Carolina competed as Big South foes from 1986-94, when the Camels joined the Atlantic Sun Conference. CU rejoined the Big South in 2011, and the two met on the court until CCU headed to the Sun Belt in 2016.
The Camels are 27-18 all-time against the Chants.
The winner will advance to take on either Tennessee Tech or Akron on March 24 or 25 in the WBI quarterfinal round.
