ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Campbell won the doubles point and split the singles matches Wednesday while extending its men's tennis win streak to six contests in a 4-3 decision at South Carolina State.
Dustin Werner and
Raphael Calzi claimed their sixth-straight victory at number-one doubles, while
Gerard Sola and
Louis Monterosso secured the point with a 6-4 triumph at the third position.
In singles play, Werner put the Camels ahead with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Juan Ramirez at the top position.
Bastien Huon outlasted Aleska Daskalovic in three sets at the second spot for his seventh-straight singles victory.
Sola then provided the decisive point with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at the fourth rung in the ladder over Omer Gorgun to extend in win streak to six contests.
Campbell returns to Big South Conference play Mar. 15 at Gardner-Webb.
