BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Alexa Genas scored for the third time in as many games and
Rosie O'Neal added another goal as Campbell defeated former Big South Conference foe Coastal Carolina 2-0 Sunday night at Eakes Athletics Complex.

Genas opened the scoring line in the 5th minute by stealing the short-played goal kick and illuding the keeper for the score.Â

In the latter half,
Rosie O'Neal netted the final goal on a header from the far post after
Delaney Baumbick fed
Jessica Donald on the near side outside the box who then lofted the cross into O'Neal for her first goal of the season.

"It was a very physical match and I thought our girls responded well," said Campbell head coach
Samar Azem. "To be under that much pressure I thought we responded really well and that is something that we are going to build on."

Sophomore
Reaghan Duval recorded her first career win and shutout by recording five saves over 90 minutes of play for Campbell (1-1-1).

Coastal Carolina (0-4) starter Rylee Attebery suffered the loss after giving up two goals on the night while tallying six saves.

Campbell rendered multiple quality chances throughout the contest including a plethora from senior
Katie Lockwood who found herself with the ball in the box throughout the night and helped the Camels to a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.Â

Baumbick recorded her first career collegiate points on her assist to O'Neal and served as one of three backline players to play all 90 minutes for Campbell.Â

Campbell begins a three-game road swing on Thursday with a trip to Mount St. Mary's (Md.) on Thursday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
