BUIES CREEK, NC - Elyssa Nowowieski and
Jessica Donald both netted goals as Campbell topped UNC Asheville 2-0 to start Big South Conference play Saturday afternoon at Eakes Athletics Complex.
Rookie Nowowieski scored her first career goal to open the scoring slate in the 31
st minute.
Alexa Genas fired a free kick from just outside the 18 yard box to force a diving save. Nowowieski gathered the loose ball and finished for the score.
"It is great to continue to have different players contribute and score goals," said Campbell head coach

Sophomore keeper
Reaghan Duval picked up her third solo shutout of the year by posting a blank sheet which featured two saves across 90 minutes of action.
"I was really proud of our girls to come out and get the shutout to open conference play."

Jessica Donald, who enter the match tied for the nation's lead in assists, scored her first goal of the season in the 67
th minute. Donald Took the feed from
Katie Lockwood on the right side and finished right in front of the net for the final score of the match.
The Camels (5-2-1) were able to place eight shots on frame compared to the Bulldogs' (2-7) two while produced a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.
