HAMPTON, VA ­- Campbell set a new program record for the fewest points allowed against a Big South team in route to a 58-31 win at Hampton inside the HU Convocation Center Saturday afternoon.
 
The win also marked the 100^th career Big South Conference win for head coach Ronny Fisher who spent part of his career as the leader of the Presbyterian Blue Hose.
 
The 31 points allowed by the Camels set a new program record and tied the mark for the fewest points allowed to a Division 1 opponent in program history.
 
Shy Tuelle led the charge with 15 points and Luana Serranho added 13 for the Camels (10-5, 5-1 Big South) who never trailed.
 
The Camels held Hampton to just 20.4 percent shooting from the field to mark the lowest field goal percentage allowed this season. The ledger also marks the fifth time this season the Camels have held their opponent to under 29 percent.
 
Countering, Campbell shot 36.5 percent from the field on the night and pushed its lead to as many as 37 with 13 seconds to go to serve as the final scoring margin.
 
The Camels held Hampton to just 13 first half points and five points in the second period to set new season lows in both categories. Hampton was able to just post one quarter with a double-digit scoring total which came in the third with 13 points.
 
Much of Campbell production came off the bench where it outscored Hampton 38-4 to pair with 17 forced turnovers which turned into 18 points.
 
The Pirates (8-7, 4-2 Big South) did not have a player hit double-digit scoring totals but was led by Nylah Young with nine points followed by Ashley Bates with five.
 
Campbell returns to action on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Winthrop at home where the Camels are a perfect 7-0 on the year.
