BUIES CREEK, NC ­- Luana Serranho matched a career-high 19 points to help Campbell run past Charleston Southern 61-36 Tuesday night inside Gore Arena.
 
The win improved the Big South leading Camels (13-5, 8-1 Big South) to 9-0 inside Gore Arena this season marking the best start at home since the 1997-98 season when the Camels started 12-0 at home. The league win also pushed the Camels to its best start in Big South play since rejoining the league in 2011.
 
Serranho matched her career-high in points on 7-of-12 shooting including a 5-of-9 mark from beyond the arc to pair with six boards for the Camels who have won sixth-straight.
 
Campbell, who never trailed, pushed its lead to as many as 27 on a three pointer from Shy Tuelle with 2:52 to play in the final period.
 
The Buccaneers (3-14, 1-7 Big South) cut the Campbell lead back to 15 in the final period on a triple from Tori Gittens with 6:09 left to play but could not inch any closer.
 
Leading by just five with 4:18 left in the opening half, Campbell wrapped a 14-3 run around the half to jump up to a 34-18 lead with 5:52 remaining in the third period.
 
Over the stretch, the Camels were able to keep the Bucs scoreless over the final 4:18 of the quarter in which CSU only scored five points over the entirety of the period.
 
Carmella Walker scored 12 points to pair with six boards to lead the Bucs followed by Sharita Godfrey who added eight.
 
Campbell was able to force 23 CSU turnovers which it turned into 17 points to run alongside outrebounding the Bucs 46-28 to grab a 17-0 advantage in second chance points.
 
Campbell takes a weekend off before returning to action on Tuesday, January 28 at Radford for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
