Campbell shot 35 percent from the field but just 13 percent from long range to post its second lowest total from beyond the arc this season on Saturday in a 60-52 loss at UNC Asheville.
Luana Serranho scored 14 points for her third double-digit scoring game this season and Hayley Barber added 11 for the Camels who could not complete the comeback over the Bulldogs.
Taya Bolden grabbed an offensive board and finished inside to help Campbell cut the lead to seven, 59-52, in the final minute but could not get any closer.
The Camels inched the Bulldog lead to seven earlier at the 3:04 mark when Luana Serranho blew past her defender for a lay in.
The Bulldogs (8-4, 2-1 Big South) made 22 of its 48 shots to sport a 45 percent clip from the field and were able to hold the Camels (7-5, 2-1 Big South) to just 35 percent shooting including just 13 percent from behind the arc.
Despite only having one player averaging double-digit scoring numbers in Shy Tuelle (10.0), Campbell has had a player score in double-figures 25 different times this season.
Longwood, who has won four in a row including a perfect 2-0 start to Big South play is led by a pair of double-digit scorers in Kyla McMakin (16.2 ppg) and Dayna Rouse (15.9 ppg). Most recently the Lancers fended off Presbyterian 71-60 on the road on Saturday after opening league play with an 80-70 win over Gardner-Webb.
