BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell's 2020 Big South football schedule has been announced.
 
The slate includes three home dates and three away contests, picking up where 2019 left off, with Charleston Southern coming to Barker-Lane Stadium on October 10. The Camels and Buccaneers have met to close the season in each of the last two years.
 
The Camels will then head to Hampton for the first time on October 17 in the first of back to back road trips. Campbell topped the Pirates 31-16 in Buies Creek in 2019, Hampton's inaugural Big South season. Monmouth, ranked as high as No. 12 in last season's FCS Top-25, and one of two Big South programs to advance to the second round of the FCS Playoffs, will welcome the Camels on October 24.
 
Campbell will also face three league opponents, including two at home, in November, beginning with first year Big South member North Alabama on November 7. The Camels and Lions have split two previous meetings in 2018 and 2019, with both squads winning on their home fields.
 
The Camels' regular season road finale will come at Kennesaw State, which survived a 38-35 push from Campbell in Buies Creek last season. The Owls, like Monmouth, were an 11-win team in 2019, making it to the FCS Playoff's second round and carried a No. 4 national ranking early in the season.
 
Campbell will close the 2020 regular season at home on November 21 with in-state Big South rival Gardner-Webb. 2019's matchup between the Camels and the Runnin' Bulldogs was possibly the most dramatic win in program history, with Campbell scoring twice in the final 1:55 of regulation, including a blocked punt returned for a touchdown with no time on the clock, and picked up the triple overtime 49-47 win on the road.
 
Campbell's previously announced nonconference schedule begins on September 5, hosting Davidson. The Camels also travel to FBS-member Georgia Southern on September 12, and Elon on Sept. 19, while hosting Mercer (Sept. 26) and former Big South football foe Presbyterian (Oct. 31).
