RALEIGH – Jericole Hellems scored 19 points and NC State used a 19-1 run midway through the second half to claim a 69-50 win over Campbell Saturday at PNC Arena.
 
Devon Daniels added 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Manny Bates had 10, plus 6 boards for the Wolfpack (4-1), which made 7-straight shots to build a double-digit edge with 14:43 to play.
 
Cedric Henderson, Jr. and Gediminas Mokšeckas led Campbell (4-2) with 10 points each, while Joshua Lusane added nine.
 
Lusane's dunk and three capped an 11-4 Camel surge and provided CU with its largest lead (22-15) with 7:13 to play in the opening period. However, the Wolfpack outscored the visitors 15-6 to close the period and took a 30-28 lead into the break.
 
Ricky Clemons' 3-point play drew the Camels within 39-35 with 16:24 remaining before State's decisive run.
 
NC State finished 28-of-58 overall (.483) from the floor, made 5-of-19 threes and 8-of-12 from the line.  Campbell shot 40.4 percent (19-47) from the field, 2-of-17 beyond the arc and hit 10-of-17 free throws.  State finished with a 44-23 edge on the boards, including a 13-0 margin in second-chance points.
 
Campbell returns to action Monday when it hosts UNC Wilmington in a 1:00 p.m. tipoff.
