KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Colleen Renshaw broke her second program record of the weekend, shattering the 100 free record, Maddie Baiotto earned a second-place finish in the 200 fly finals, and the 400-free relay squad took third in the finals, highlighting Campbell's final day of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships.
Renshaw broke the 100 free record with a 50.86 swim in the prelims, and later swam a 51.63 in the finals to finish within the A-finals with an eight-place finish. She was joined in the top-20 in the finals by Sarah Wilson (12th, 51.61) and Annie Sanchez (16th, 52.01).
Baiotto swam a 2:01.61 in the 200 fly finals to earn her second individual medal of the conference meet. Lauren Shoemaker, Maggie Whitman and Ashlyn Palmer finished 11th (2:04.96), 13th (2:06.22) and 15th (2:07.77), respectively, in the 200 fly finals.
The 400-free relay squad comprised of Wilson, Renshaw, Baiotto and Sanchez swam a collective time of 3:26.68 to earn a bronze-medal finish for the Camels.
In the 200 back finals, three Camels finished in the C-Finals, led by Julia Sherlock, who took 19th place in 2:05.23. Drew Marshall finished in 21st in 2:06.23 before Kelsey Tunstall took 22nd place in 2:06.52.
Angelica Brown was the lone Camel to place in the 200 breast finals, taking 22nd place in 2:27.59. In the lone distance event, Erica Losey and Kacey Hauck finished 13-14 in the 1650 free, with Losey posting a time of 17:38.54 and Hauck swimming a 17:40.82.
Campbell placed sixth in the women's team rankings with 690 points, while Liberty took home the conference championship with 1,566 points.
Campbell swimming will await bids to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship, as CU posted NIC-qualifying marks throughout the 2018-19 regular season.
