BUIES CREEK, N.C. –
Stacey White of Campbell University has been named Big South Conference women's golf scholar-athlete of the year in voting by league sports information professionals.
A senior from Brisbane, Australia, White owns a 3.85 grade-point average as a sport management major and is a two-time Big South all-conference and all-championship team member. She shared the award with Allison Chandler of Gardner-Webb.
A three-time WGCA All-American Scholar and Big South Presidential Honor Roll member, White is a two-time Big South runner-up (2018, 2019). Her career stroke average (73.66) is third-lowest in school history.
She has compiled 11 career top-10 finishes, including a win at 2017 Starmount Fall Classic. In addition, White owns three of the top eight lowest single-season scoring averages in school history, including a 72.56 average in '19-20, which is second-lowest in CU records.
A member of three-straight Big South championship teams, White has competed in NCAA post-season play twice. She was CU's low individual at the 2018 NCAA Madison Regional (T11).
White is the fifth Camel to earn conference scholar-athlete of the year honors in 2019-20. Maddie Baiotto (Women's Swimming-CCSA), Gideon Betz (Men's Soccer), Cory Gensler (Men's Basketball) and
Hunter Gilbert (Men's Cross Country) also collected the award in their sport.
