RALEIGH, N.C. – Fanni Gronlund is tied for 19th individually and Campbell is tied for 10th on the team leader board following Sunday's opening round of the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State at Lonnie Poole Golf Club.
 
Host and 44th-ranked NC State owns the first-round lead at 8-over par in the 13-team event, six strokes ahead of East Carolina and South Carolina heading into Monday's second round.  The 54-hole event runs through Tuesday.
 
Frances Kim of Boston College was the lone golfer in the 73-player field to finish in red numbers Sunday at 1-under on the par-72 Arnold Palmer design.  Ella Murray of Coastal Carolina was even through 18 holes.
 
Gronlund played her final 13 holes even par to finish the day at 4-over 76.  Jade Potter is T25 at 5-over 77, while Izabella Grimbrandt and Isabella Hahne are T46 at plus 7 (79).  Freshman Linn Svedlund birdied two of her final four holes Sunday to finish at 8-over (80) and in a tie for 54th place.
 
As a team, the Camels finished the day 23-over par (311).  The Camels will be paired with Howard and Fairleigh Dickinson for Monday's second round and start from the 10th tee at 8:20 a.m.  Live scoring is available at Scoreboard.clippd.com.
