Faith Price led five Camels in double figures with 17 points and Campbell defeated William Peace 85-44 Wednesday at Gore Arena.
Playing in front of 2345 elementary school children, the Camels (6-3) led by as many as 46 while winning their third-straight game. Svenia Nurenberg came off the bench to score a career-best 13 points, while
Shy Tuelle and
Luana Serranho added 10 each.
Taya Bolden collected her third-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while tying a career high with five assists and making six steals in only 20 minutes.
Campbell held the Division III Pacers (2-8) to just 35 percent shooting and forced 32 turnovers, which the Camels converted into 33 points. Stephanie Chandler led William Peace with nine points.
The Camels shot 44 percent from the floor, made 12-of-35 threes (.343), outscored the Pacers 34-10 in the paint and 16-0 on the break.
After outscoring William Peace 23-6 in the second quarter, Campbell took a 47-19 lead at halftime. The Camels converted 18 WPU first-half turnovers into 20 points and had a 20-2 margin in the paint.
Price scored 14 points in the opening half, including 4-of-6 threes.
Campbell returns to action Monday against Bowling Green in the Holiday Hoops Classic at Las Vegas.
