Lynchburg, Va. - The Campbell men's and women's track and field teams traveled this weekend to Lynchburg, Va. and Liberty University for the second weekend in a row for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Feb. 12-13).
The team brought home several honors including, five podium finishes and two individual event winners.
On the Field
Andre Douglas continued his winning ways with his third first-place finish in three meets. The freshman earned his first-place finish in the men's triple jump with a mark of 15.51m.
Patience Marshall collected more hardware this season with a first-place finish in the women's shot put with a throw of 15.65m. This marked her third podium finish in just as many meets and her second first-place finish of the indoor season.
Rounding out the accolades in the field, CJ McBride earned his third podium finish of the season in the men's triple jump, with a mark of 2.05m to earn him third place.
On the Track
Senior
Samuel Adams led the way for the Camels on the track, finishing second in the men's 60-meter dash. This was his second podium finish in two weeks after coming third at the Brant Tolsma Invitational last week and his third on the season as a whole.
Fellow senior
Trevon Compito, earned his first podium finish of the season, with a third-place finish in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 48.49.
