BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After making its road debut in the midweek, Campbell (1-2) returns home to Barker-Lane Stadium on Sunday, hosting Davidson (2-1) at 2:00 p.m.
Leading the Camels
Campbell picked up its first win of the season in its last home appearance, topping
Stetson 15-5.
Julianna Sanchez and
Sam Bischoff have both registered eight points for the Camels, with Sanchez posting a team-high seven goals to go along with 32 draw controls and seven ground balls.
Defensively,
Chandler Stewart has caused a team-high four turnovers with five ground balls.
Lizzie Yurchak also owns seven ground balls with three caused turnovers, while
Alex Salim also owns seven ground balls, along with a .358 save percentage.
Last time out
Megan Pallozzi scored a game-high five goals to lead East Carolina over visiting Campbell
20-8 Wednesday afternoon at Johnson Stadium. Pallozzi posted three second half goals, while Camryn Pennypacker and Ellie Bromley each added two scores in the second frame to help ECU outscore the Camels 12-3 in the second half. The Pirates used a 6-0 first half run to lead the Camels 8-5 at the half.
Julianna Sanchez paced Campbell with a season-high three goals, scoring the Camels' first three tallies of the game, with 10 draw controls.
Scouting Davidson
Hitting the road for the first time in 2021, Davidson is coming off back to back wins over Furman, 14-10, and East Carolina, 15-6. The Wildcats opened the season against No. 15 Duke, falling 16-11.
Sam Ripley owns a team-high 11 points on eight goals and three assists, tacking on seven ground balls, while Gianna New has also collected eight goals for the Wildcats
Noelle Cegielski and Natalie Junior have combined for 19 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers on the defensive end. Amanda Monahan also owns a .415 save percentage.
Meeting for the first time since 2018, Davidson owns a 3-1 edge in the all-time series with CU.
Campbell attendance policy update
Recently announced by the Campbell University Health and Safety Task Force, a limited number of Campbell students and faculty/staff only will be allowed at each outdoor home event, including lacrosse.
The attendance policy, in effect until March 1, will still require fans to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols as dictated by
Campbell University policy. A reservation link for each game will be available at
GoCamels.com. No one will be admitted without reserving a seat and presenting a valid Campbell ID.

Fan cutouts are now available for all of our teams competing at home in the Spring 2021 semester – Basketball, Lacrosse, Tennis, Softball, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer.
All fan cutouts are priced at $50. As we prepare for a season unlike any other, put on your favorite Camel gear, take a picture and submit, then order your fan cutout so that you can be represented on home game days!
Fans who purchase cutouts will get the chance to take them home at the end of the season.

The Camels begin Big South play at home on March 13, hosting Radford in the first of two meetings with the Highlanders. CU will also travel to RU on April 14 for a nonconference meeting.
