CONWAY, S.C. - The Camels had a successful day at the Chanticleer Invitational hosted by Coastal Carolina, earning 14 podium finishes
In the field
Success in the throws was started by
Caitlyn Vester who earned a first place finish in the women's hammer with a throw of 52.66m.
On the men's side, DJ McClain took first in the men's hammer with a mark of 52.35m.

In the javelin,
Timon Edelen took first in the men's with a mark of 54.51m and
Jenna Dankert finished third in the women's with a mark of 36.75m.
In the shot put,
Jonhoi Clarke took second in the men's with a throw of 15.42 m, and
Samantha Ennis finished third in the women's section with a mark of 13.55m
Wrapping up the throws,
Jonhoi Clarke and
Andrew Ward finished first and third with marks of 49.94m and 47.51m respectively.
Success would continue in the jumps for the Camels as
Hailey Huston Myles took first in the women's triple jump with a jump of 12.57m.
In the men's triple jump,
Andre Douglas would take first with a jump of 15.15m.
On the track
The Camels would also dominate on the track in the mid to long distance events.
Athanas Kioko and
Travis Koekemoer would go 1-2 in the men's 1500m with times of 3:43.35 and 3:46.08 respectively.
The two would also go 1-2 in the men's 800 meters with times of 1:52.39 and 1:52.66.
In the women's 1500,
Dorcus Ewoi finished first in a time of 4:30.32.
Ewoi would also win the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:11.60.
Finally, in the men's 3,000 the Camels would sweep the program with
Dennis Kiptoo  in first (8:32.98),
Godwin Kimutai second (8:34.52), and
Hunter Gilbert third (8:54.14).
