Camels win eighth-straight, 77-54 over Winthrop

CU improves to 11-3 overall, 5-0 in Big South play

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Faith Price and Luana Serranho had 18 points each as Campbell picked up its eighth-straight win, 77-54 over Winthrop Wednesday night at Winthrop Coliseum.

The Camels (11-3, 5-0) continue their longest win streak since winning 10 straight during the 2019-20 season and remain undefeated in Big South play. Taya Bolden added 11 points and 10 boards for her seventh straight double-double while Svenia Nürenberg added eight points and four boards off the bench.

Price tied her career-high with six three-pointers while Serranho made four threes for the Camels who shot 50.0 percent (29-58) from the field and 37.9 percent (11-29) from behind the arc.

The Eagles made 45.1 percent (23-51) of their baskets from the field but were held to 2-of-12 shooting from three. The Camels converted 24 points off of 24 Winthrop turnovers and held a 16-9 advantage on fast break points.

After leading 36-28 at halftime Campbell extended its lead to 54-38 at the end of the third quarter. Campbell earned its largest lead of 23 on the final bucket of the game.

Campbell recorded 22 assists including at least one from 10 different players including Audrey Fuller who dished out a career-high six assists off the bench.

Randria Anderson chipped in a career-high seven points over the final 2:03.

Campbell returns home Saturday against Radford. Tip from Gore Arena is set for 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
