CLINTON, S.C. - Faith Price knocked down a three with 2.7 seconds to go and Campbell held off Presbyterian for a 58-55 win Wednesday night at the Templeton Center.
Price, who led the Camels with 17 points, drained the game-winning three after Maleia Bracone capped a Blue Hose 8-0 run to tie the game with 24 seconds remaining.
Taya Bolden had 12 points and 8 boards while Brittany Staves added 11 points and 8 boards for the Camels (14-3, 8-0) who improved their winning streak to 11 games.
Jade Compton scored a game-high 18 points for the Blue Hose (8-9, 3-4) while Bracone finished with a double-double behind 13 points and 10 boards.
Price made 5-of-11 threes, marking the sixth time this season the junior has made five or more threes in a game. Campbell shot 39.6 percent (21-53) from the field and 34.6 percent (9-26) from behind the arc.
Presbyterian finished with a 40-31 advantage on the boards but Campbell outscored the Blue Hose 24-22 in the paint.
The Camels finished with a 12-2 edge in bench points behind 10 points from Svenia Nürenberg.
Campbell held PC to 37.3 percent (19-51) shooting from the field including 26.7 percent (8-30) in the first half. The Blue Hose made 4-of-15 threes and converted 13-of-20 free throws on the night.
