BUIES CREEK, N.C. – With Big South Conference tournament spots at stake, Campbell (8-3-5, 4-1-1) hosts Presbyterian (9-3-2, 2-2-2) Saturday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+ in the final regular season home match for 11 Fighting Camel seniors.

With 13 points, Campbell enters the final two league contests one point behind High Point (14) and two ahead of third-place USC Upstate (11).  Fourth place Radford (10 points), Gardner-Webb (9) and Presbyterian (8) are also competing for spots in the 4-team Big South Championship.
 
LAST TIME OUT:  Campbell - Tyler Young scored and the Camels drew 1-1 Tuesday at UNC Wilmington in the 55th renewal of the Cape Fear River Derby... PC - Nacho Gallego scored the game's lone goal in the 49th minute Sunday in the Blue Hose's win over Longwood at Clinton, S.C.
 
PRESBYTERIAN PREVIEW: The Blue Hose enter Saturday's match on a two-game win streak, including a 2-1 victory Oct. 18 at Furman.  PC closes the regular season at home next Wednesday vs. Winthrop.  Nacho Gallego, Gerard Lopez and Lorenzo Nagy share the team scoring lead with 4 goals apiece.  Freshman Leo Stritter leads all Big South keepers in GAA (0.80) and shutouts (7).
 
SERIES HISTORY:  After claiming 5-straight wins vs. the Blue Hose, Campbell owns a 9-5 edge in the series that began in 2011 when the Camels re-joined the Big South Conference... Most recently, Kemy Amiche scored and provided an assist, while Edu Rodriguez recorded his first career shutout in the nets in a 3-0 Camel victory Oct. 2, 2021 at Clinton, S.C.  Jake Morris scored in the sixth minute, Amiche in the 10th and Tyler Young added a strike in the 38th.  During its 5-match win streak vs. PC, Campbell has outscored the Blue Hose 21-2.  The win stretch began on Nov. 11, 2018 when the Camels won 1-0 in OT at PC in the Big South final.
 
SENIORS BID FAREWELL:  Ten Fighting Camel seniors, including four who were members of the Big South double winners in 2019 and 2021, will be honored during pre-match ceremonies Saturday.  Moses Mensah, Bissafi Dotte, Jalen James and Adrian Morales have helped the Camels lift Big South regular season and tournament trophies a total of four times.  In addition, Diego Konincks, Jamie Lamb, Daniel Hernandez, Kyoji Hata, Anass Amrani and Felix Schuster were all members of last season's league double champs.
 
HOME, SWEET HOME: The Camels stand 30-3-7 in their last 40 matches at the Eakes Complex, including a 3-1-3 mark in this season.  Under 8th-year Coach Dustin Fonder, Campbell is 45-18-8 in Buies Creek.
 
BIG SOUTH SUCCESS: CU owns a 31-2-5 in its last 38 games (regular season and tournament) vs. Big South foes, including a 25-2-3 mark in regular season play over the last four seasons... Campbell has won 5 BSC trophies over the previous 4 seasons - 2018 tournament, 2019 regular season and tournament, 2021 regular season and tournament.
 
BIG SOUTH TOURNAMENT UPCOMING:  The top two seeds will host Big South semifinal matches on Nov. 6 with the highest remaining seed hosting the final Nov. 12.
 
NATIONAL & BIG SOUTH LEADERS: As a team, the Camels rank 33rd in the nation in scoring (1.94 goals/game), 11th in total assists (37), 16th in total points (99), 9th in corner kicks per game (7.0) and 25th in goal differential (+16)... Tyler Young is T7th nationally in assists (8), while Edu Rodriguez is T24 in save percentage (.806)... In the Big South, CU leads the league in scoring (1.94) and in scoring defense (0.94)... Jalen James (7G, 1A) and Daniel Hernandez (4G, 7A) are T2nd among Big South Conference leaders in points (15) and Kemy Amiche T5th (14)... James is T1st in goals (7) and Amiche 5th (5)... YOUNG POINTS = CAMPBELL POINTS:  Campbell stands 18-0-4 all time in matches when 2021 Big South offensive player of the year (and '22 preseason offensive POTW) Tyler Young has at least one point, including a 5-0-3 mark this season.  In addition to scoring the game-winner vs. UIW, he notched a pair of assists at HBU and set up Kemy Amiche's winner vs. No. 12 UNCG.  He set up both goals in a 2-1 win Oct. 15 at Radford and scored in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at UNCW.  Young leads the Big South and ranks T7th nationally in with 8 assists.
 
THREE CAMELS ON TDS MIDSEASON TOP-100 LIST:  M-F Kemy Amiche (#27), D Moses Mensah (#33) and M Tyler Young (#51) were named to the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason list of the nation's top 100 players.
 
KEEP AWAY: Campbell has won the possession battle in 14 of its first 16 matches.  CU has taken 112 corner kicks to just 44 for the visitors and has out-shot its foes by a 236-131 margin.
