BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Five Camels were recognized as Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.

Lotem Ben Dov,
Filipe Matos,
Ethan Roberts,
Jake Roberts and
Marco Wright all earned the recognition, which honors both high performance on the field and in the classroom.

To earn the award, student-athletes must start in at least 66% or compete in at least 90% of a season's contests while maintaining a 3.50 or higher GPA.

Ben Dov played in all 20 games and started 18 in his final year at Campbell. He scored a career-high three goals while adding two assists on his way to a Second Team All-CAA nod. He is earning his graduate degree in Business Administration.

A junior from Riachos, Portugal, Matos scored three goals, including two game-winners, and an assist in this year's campaign, culminating in an All-CAA First Team recognition. He started 14 contests and played in 19. He is working towards a degree in business management.

Campbell's leading goalscorer,
Ethan Roberts finished his senior campaign scoring eight goals and dishing out two assists. After only six career starts over his first three seasons, Roberts recorded 17 starts and played in all 20 matches this year, culminating in a spot of the all-conference first team. He will soon earn his degree in Electrical Engineering.

This year's captain,
Jake Roberts started all 20 matches at center back and led the team in minutes with 1,763. He scored his second and third career goals in his junior campaign, putting him on the All-CAA Third Team. He is working towards a degree in Trust and Wealth Management.

Wright was another member on the All-CAA First Team this season after as the Camels' second leading goal scorer, tallying five, while also being second on the team with four assists. The Gastonia native recorded 14 starts and played in 19 contests. A junior, Wright is working towards a degree in Communication Studies in Converged Journalism.
