BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell will host in-state Big South foe Gardner-Webb on Saturday, November 12 for the NC Pork East/West Barbecue Bowl. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Barker-Lane Stadium.
The Camels will also host Senior Day, honoring the team's senior class, as well as Parents' Day for their 2022 home finale.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Campbell University Athletics implements a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into Campbell Athletics facilities, including Barker-Lane Stadium. Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new policies before arriving at the venue to minimize time spent searching bags at security checkpoints.
Bags that are approved include:
• Clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• One-gallon clear plastic zip-style bags
• Small purses or clutch bags that do not exceed 6.5″ x 4.5"
• Medical or diaper bags must be accompanied by a child
Bags are that not permitted include:
• Backpacks
• Printed pattern or tinted plastic bags
• Drawstring bags
• Fanny packs
• Camera or binocular cases
• Large purses or bags
LAST TIME OUT
Bryant built a 26-point lead early in the third quarter then withstood a late rally to
defeat Campbell 43-37 in Big South Conference action at Beirne Stadium. Zevi Eckhaus completed 22-of-33 passes for 235 yards and four scores, while Ishod Byam ran 30 times for 148 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who led 43-16 with 14:15 to play.
Freshman quarterback Chad Mascoe, Jr. came off the bench to rally the Camels with three late touchdowns. Mascoe completed 23-of-36 passes for 378 yards and three TDs for Campbell, which rolled up 522 yards of total offense.
NaQuari Rogers rushed for 68 yards scored twice, once on the ground and once on a TD reception. Ezeriah Anderson made eight receptions for 115 yards and a TD,
Jalen Kelsey had five grabs for 84 yards, while
Julian Hill had four catches for 122 yards and a 47-yard TD that brought the Camels within 43-37 with 5:53 to play.
LEADING THE CAMELS
Hajj-Malik Williams has completed over 63 percent of his passes for 223.3 yards per game with 11 touchdowns. The QB has added 325 yards rushing with five touchdowns, while
Bryant Barr has rushed for 417 yards and three scores, while tight end
Julian Hill has hauled in 34 catches for 593 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Linebacker CJ Tillman owns a team-high 58 tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, while Aaron Maddox owns 44 stops and an interception. Defensive end
Josh Johnson also owns 41 tackles with a team-leading 11.0 stops for loss.
Currently on a three game losing skid, all three games have been within one score (eight points or less).
SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
The Runnin' Bulldogs are one of two unbeaten squads in Big South play at 3-0, coming into the weekend at 4-5 overall. Off last week, GWU topped Bryant 48-40 on October 29 in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Bailey Fisher has tossed 13 touchdown passes, completing nearly 64 percent of his throws, while Narii Gaither has rushed for 406 yards with three touchdowns. T.J. Luther also owns 719 yards receiving with five scores. William McRainey owns a team-high 72 tackles with 5.5 stops for loss.
This is the fourth all-time meeting between the Camels and Runnin' Bulldogs, with Campbell winning the last two matchups in the series, including last season's
inaugural BBQ Bowl, 43-28.
MORE HISTORY MADE
At Bryant, Campbell tallied two 100 yard receivers for the first time in its modern era (since 2008), with
Julian Hill making four catches for 122 yards (1 TD) and Ezeriah Anderson adding a game-high eight catches for 115 yards (1 TD).
Campbell's 436 passing yards yet again set a school single game record, breaking the mark for the second consecutive week (426 at North Carolina A&T).
HOME SWEET HOME
Heading into its final home game of 2022, Campbell remains unbeaten at 4-0 at Barker-Lane Stadium this season. Campbell has led in 15 of its 16 quarters at home, outscoring opponents a combined 152-66. The Camels topped Robert Morris 41-10 in its last home appearance.
In four home games, Campbell has rushed for 901 yards, averaging 225.3 yards per game on the ground with 10 touchdowns. The Camels ran for a season-high 315 yards with five TDs against NC Central, following up that performance with 199 yards rushing and two scores against Charleston Southern.
CU's homecoming game against CSU also marked the 24th sellout in Barker-Lane Stadium history (since 2008), and its first of the 2022 season.
Meanwhile, on the road, Campbell is 0-5 so far this season.
MASCOE NAMED BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
After passing for a Campbell rookie record, quarterback Chad Mascoe, Jr. has been named Big South Freshman of the Week.
Mascoe passed for 378 yards and three touchdowns, completing 23-of-36 throws with an interception in relief at Bryant. The Kissimmee, Fla. native's 378 yards are a Campbell freshman record. The freshman passed for 271 yards on 12-of-16 attempts with all three of his TDs in the fourth quarter, nearly helping the Camels erase a 36-10 third quarter deficit.
For the season, Mascoe has appeared in three games, passing for 462 yards and four touchdowns.
Mascoe was also named FedEx Ground honorable mention FCS National Freshman Player of the Week by Stats Perform. Through nine games, Camels have earned Big South weekly honors 11 times.
